To any Dean student that needs help with building their career journey, this may be up your alley. The Robbins Family Learning Center is now offering weekly drop-in hours for career services every Friday from 10 AM – 1 PM.
Career Services Director Courtney Shimer notes that the drop-in hours offer one-on-one guidance on any student’s professional materials. Areas of interest include resume reviews, exploring career options, interview practice, and much more.
“I think that individualized support and feedback [for students] is really helpful.” says Shimer. “We can talk about how to do a cover letter. If you’re building out a website, we can talk about what to put on your website…there’s so many things we can do, it’s individual with what the student needs”.
If any student felt hesitant about attending these drop-in hours, Shimer noted that there is nothing to fear. “It’s come and go as you please. You don’t have to make an appointment; you don’t have to stay for any length of time…this is really all what you need. Dedicated time just for you!”
The Career Service Drop-In hours are available every Friday from 10 AM – 1 PM in the Robbins Family Center. Please note that Drop-In hours will not be held on March 28th nor April fourth.
