Elms Pulls Away from Dean in Third

FRANKLIN-- The Elms College Blazers defeated the Bulldogs 81-38 on Saturday afternoon at Pieri Gymnasium. The Blazers went on a 22-0 run that extended from late in the second quarter to halfway through the third. This spurt put the game out of reach for the Bulldogs.

Kayla Jackson had a double-double for Elms with sixteen points and thirteen rebounds. She came into the game averaging thirteen points and eleven rebounds. Rahmia Johnston contributed with fifteen points of her own, making three three-pointers.

Caitlyn Cooper scored a career-high seven points off the bench in just nineteen minutes of action, fellow first-year Natasha Brito scored seven points off the bench and Cat Thomas also hauled in eleven rebounds. Dean will have a long break until their next game on the road against the University of St. Joseph’s CT on Saturday at 1:00.
