FRANKLIN-- Dean College was defeated by Colby-Sawyer 56-29 on Thursday evening at Pieri Gymnasium. The Bulldogs fell behind 23-6 after the first quarter, as they couldn’t stop the Chargers from the three-point line. Colby-Sawyer made five threes in the opening quarter and never looked back. However, the Bulldogs did win the fourth quarter 9-8, and this could be something to build off going forward.

Megan Molettieri led the Chargers with fourteen points, and Elyza Mitchell added twelve. The eight Chargers who saw action all scored at least two points.

Carly Rettberg scored a career-high thirteen points for Dean. Amani Pressley grabbed eight rebounds and Cat Thomas also had seven rebounds. The Bulldogs will travel to Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut on Saturday to take on the Falcons, still searching for their first GNAC win.
