After a day of team photos, press conferences, and one-on-one interviews, the Dean College Women's Basketball team approaches closer to the start of the 2022-2023 season. The Bulldogs are confident in their hopes for a bounce-back season after finishing with a disappointing 2-17 record in the 2021-2022 year.

Going into the season, Coach Laura Habacker has expressed her satisfaction with the returning players and new first-timers. From the player's perspective, many of them described the strong chemistry they have, which will be necessary for a winning season.

When asked about the performance in their practices, Habacker noted that it is going well as everyone is buying in and working hard. The team is still learning and continues to grow as individuals and as a team.

Habacker has noted that the Bulldogs' best strength is their ability to work together and called them a very cohesive unit, as they are getting along well as a team. Several players emphasized the importance of working together, as working with a team will benefit them for the entire year.

Habacker hopes to improve upon the previous season by keeping every player healthy, saying that a healthy roster is vital for the team to maintain their chemistry.

Up to this point, there is still quite a bit up in the air. The starting lineup and the game plan are still not finalized, as there were still players on the team who were finishing up fall sports.

The first matchup for the Dean College Women's Basketball team will be on Tuesday, November 8th against Curry College at 5:30.
