The Dean College Men's Bulldogs basketball team had the chance to improve their recent struggles but lost their third straight game losing 82-77 to Mitchell College. Last season against Mitchell College, the Bulldogs went on a back-and-forth game in which the Bulldogs lost 94-90. The Bulldogs came into this game hoping to stay out of early foul trouble and to maintain a fast pace on every rebounded possession on offense.

In the first half, the Bulldogs and Mariners went back and forth on points. The same aggression the Bulldogs saw against the Mariners last season was no different in this game. The game involved physicality on offense and defense. The Mariners led the Bulldogs at halftime 42-36.

In the second half, the Bulldogs outscored the Mariners 41-40 but couldn't get it done, falling 82-77. The leading scorer for the Mariners was Alfonzo Stokes, who scored twenty-six points, with eight coming from the free throw line. As for the Bulldogs, their leading scorer was AJ Weston, who had an impressive twenty points and played a season-high of thirty-eight minutes. The Bulldogs will be back home on Saturday to face Fitchburg State University at 1:00 in Pieri Gymnasium at Dean College.
