On Saturday, the Dean College Bulldogs were rocked on the road by RPI Engineers 63-0. The Bulldogs were looking to win their second game of the season, however, that did not go as planned.

Going into their fourth game of the young season, the Bulldogs were facing a major test by playing their first away game of the season. Coach Andre Murphy decided to start sophomore backup quarterback Paul Hammond due to quarterback Nathan Cisco being out with an injury.

At practice throughout the week at Dale Lippert Field, Hammond took snaps and called a lot of plays on offense to prepare his team against the Engineers.

In the first half, the Engineers led 56-0 at halftime with multiple touchdown runs in the endzone, while the Bulldogs failed to reach the red zone just once.

The Bulldogs could not spark a comeback against the Engineers in the second half, falling 63-0. Although it was a bad loss, Bulldogs senior tight end Jordan Mason had a terrific game with seven catches for 70 yards.

Bulldogs starting quarterback Paul Hammond finished the evening 7-15 on completions with one interception.

As for the Engineers, they had five quarterbacks in this game who combined for 209 passing yards. Those five quarterbacks were Jake Kazanowsky, Frankie Garbolino, Clyde Davis Jr., Justin McCormack, and Anthony DeMatteo.

Bulldogs’ linebacker Dre Kidd had this to say about preparing against Husson University, “A good week of practice will help during this week.”

Bulldogs' wide receiver Mohale Mitchell also spoke towards preparing against Husson university,"We have to stack our days and take a step forward with practice this week in order to be the best version of ourselves."

The Bulldogs look to bounce back against Husson University in their second consecutive road game on Friday, September 29th, with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m.
