Dean College Women’s basketball fell to Curry College 82-49 on Tuesday evening. Turnovers doomed Dean in this one, as the Bulldogs turned the ball over thirty-four times, resulting in twenty-nine Curry points. Dean was outscored 30-3 on three-pointers.
Lauren and Kathryn Dunn were the catalysts for Curry, scoring 19 and 18 points. Kylie McCarthy did a good job finding them open, as she had a game-high eight assists.
Cat Thomas was a bright spot for Dean in the loss, as she led the team with nineteen points on seventy-percent shooting from the field. Tori Viau added thirteen points, and Tori Andrewski grabbed a game-high fifteen rebounds.
Dean will take the floor next on Wednesday, November 16th in their home opener against Mitchell College. To win, Dean will need to take better care of the ball and defend the three-point shot better.
