FRANKLIN, Massachusetts- The UMaine-Farmington Beavers shut out the Dean Bulldogs 1-0 in a defensive showdown. The win gives the Beavers their first win of the season, making them 1-4. The Bulldogs are still looking for their first win as they fall to 0-6.

Both teams were on the same level throughout the whole game as they were not allowing much offense to show. The Beavers gained the edge when Senior Mya Daniels scored the game’s only goal via penalty stroke in the second quarter. The Bulldogs stayed strong on defense but continued to struggle offensively, not scoring a goal throughout the game and giving the Beavers their first victory. The Bulldogs will play on Wednesday at Newport, Rhode Island to face off against the Salve Regina Seahawks.
