FRANKLIN, Massachusetts- The Albertus Magnus Falcons came to town and defeated the Dean Bulldogs 3-1. The victory gives the Falcons their first victory of the season, making their record 1-9 and the Bulldogs continue to look for their first win as they fall to 0-12.
Right out of the gate, The Falcons started red hot as sophomore Alexis Duranleau scored within the first six minutes of the game. They added more to their momentum when Falcons’ senior Lilian Woods scored late in the first quarter to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead. In the second quarter, Alexis Duranleau added another goal in the opening minutes. The Bulldogs gained some life seconds later after freshman Sydnee Ramos scored her second goal of the season and making the score 3-1 in favor of the Falcons. After Ramos’ goal, the game was nothing but a defensive bout. In the second half, The Bulldogs failed to capitalize on many scoring opportunities and the Falcons captured their first victory of the season. The Bulldogs’ next game is at home this Sunday against Rivier University.
