FRANKLIN-- Dean fell to Johnson and Wales 55-45 on Saturday at Pieri Gymnasium. Dean trailed 45-26 late in the third quarter, but they would not go down without a fight, as they cut the lead to six at 49-43 with 1:26 remaining and with the ball. Unfortunately, they came up empty on the possession and were forced to foul but JWU made their free throws down the stretch.

Both teams struggled to take care of the ball on Saturday, as Dean committed thirty-one turnovers and JWU had twenty-six. Both teams were excellent defensively but were also occasionally careless with the ball. JWU dominated from the three-point line draining six three-pointers to Dean’s zero.

Cat Thomas scored a game-high fifteen points on a very efficient eight shot attempts. Tori Andrewski had another double-double for Dean with eleven points and twelve rebounds. Peyton Ryan of Johnson and Wales had thirteen points to lead the team, with three three-pointers.

Dean will have to wait until January 3rd for their next game, which will be at home against Norwich University.
