Fans have every reason to be excited about Dean College’s baseball team this spring. While they may have lost some key pieces due to graduation, most of the team is still here from last year as the Bulldogs look for their first playoff appearance since joining the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
Last season, the Bulldogs pulled in the most wins since 2018 at 12 wins. With core team members like Jacob Paschetto and Gavin Goss returning this upcoming season, the Bulldogs are set to take steps in the right direction. Jacob had five home runs last season, including three home runs in one game, which led the team. He also led the team in RBIs with 29 and a batting average of .322. Gavin was tied for second on the team in RBIs with 20 and was second in batting average at .321.
Head Coach of the team, Endy Morales will start his second season as the coach this spring. He was named Head Coach in September of 2023. While speaking to multiple players in passing about his coaching style, they all emphasized one thing; he is very passionate about this team and this program and wants the players and the program to succeed. Endy makes it a point to build strong relationships with his team and to form a bond that goes beyond the baseball field.
When talking to Coach Morales about his expectations for this season, he said “Ultimately, I expect that we establish who we are as a program and regardless of personnel, the product we put out there remains the same.” He said he also expects the program to reach new heights, and he expressed wanting to experience playoff baseball.
The schedule for the 2025 season will be announced soon, and the Bulldogs hope to reach the GNAC postseason for the first time in program history. For more information on the Dean College Baseball team, visit deanbulldogs.com.
