The Bulldogs traveled to Emmanuel College to take on the Saints in a hard-fought GNAC battle Friday night. Emmanuel College would go to 7-3 on the season with a 10-6 win over Dean College, as Senior, Ryan Castle scored 3 goals, and 4 points on the night, continuing his amazing season with nineteen points in 9 games. The Saints dominated the first 3 quarters of play, leading 7-1, before the Bulldogs showed fight, and scored 5 4th quarter goals. Both Sophomore, Owen Brine and Junior, Alec Speirs scored 2 goals, and Junior, Tyler Benedetto led the game with eleven ground balls. Dean College was also efficient winning the faceoffs department 12-20. Ultimately, a poor start doomed the Bulldogs, as they fall to 5-3.
Dean College continues to struggle against GNAC opponents, as they go to 1-3 on the year against division rivals, whereas Emmanuel College goes to a flawless 5-0. Dean College Men’s Lacrosse will play again Tuesday against the University of St. Joseph Tuesday at 3:30 PM at Grant Field.
