FRANKLIN—Dean College fell to Saint Joseph’s (ME.) 5-0 on Wednesday. The Dean Men’s Soccer team knew they had their hands full welcoming the number one seed in the GNAC, to Dale Lippert Field. There was a lot at stake for Dean as they needed to win and needed an Anna Maria loss to qualify for the GNAC playoffs.
Unfortunately, the Bulldogs couldn’t get it done, as they suffered a tough defeat to Saint Joseph’s (ME.) 5-0. Austin Ward led the way for Saint Joseph’s (ME.), finding the back of the net twice. Dean struggled offensively, as they only took five shots for the game, with only one being on goal. Jake Godwin had two saves for Dean.
It was a disappointing end to the season for Dean, and they will try to rebound and make the playoffs next year.
