Meet the President of Dean Daily

My name is Maximilian Kent, and I am honored to serve as the President and Chief Editor of The Dean Daily for the 2025–2026 school year. It is a privilege to lead this organization as we continue to grow into a more professional, student-driven news outlet for the Dean College community.

Having served on the Dean Daily board last year, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside an incredible and dedicated team. Their passion for journalism and storytelling inspires me every day, and I look forward to supporting and expanding on their work this year as we take the publication to new heights.

One of the most exciting additions this semester is the new Dean Daily class. This course, taught by Professor John Rooke, will offer a unique experience where classroom learning and club involvement come together. I am eager to collaborate with Professor Rooke and our staff as we build something that blends professional development with hands-on newsmaking.

Looking ahead, our team has ambitious plans for this semester. From expanding multimedia coverage and improving operations to strengthening our voice as the student newspaper, we are committed to raising the standards of what Dean Daily can achieve. Most importantly, we are building an outlet that represents the voices, stories, and creativity of the Dean College community.

This year will be one of growth, innovation, and impact. I could not be more excited to help lead Dean Daily toward an amazing semester, and an even stronger future.
