On April 5th, Dean College walked the Lesley University Lynx off in a 6-5 win in eleven innings. However, Wednesday was a different story for the Bulldogs, as they fell to the Lynx 7-5. Dean had a 5-3 lead heading into the bottom half of the sixth inning, where they ended up surrendering three runs, and was unable to tie the game up again. Lesley outhit Dean twelve to five in the game.
Lesley had four players with two hits in the game, and they were Trevor Faison, Justin Dennett, Jake Samela, and Andrew Gryniewicz. Gryniewicz and Christian McElroy both had three RBIs and accounted for six of the team's seven runs. Dylan Langston pitched eight innings and threw 122 pitches, picking up his fourth win of the season. He let up five hits, five runs, four earned, and struck out five. Kolten Moyer pitched a scoreless ninth and notched his first save of the year.
For the Bulldogs, Cam Watkins had two hits, two RBIs, and scored two runs. Demarcus King drove in two runs of his own and had a double. Jared Dussman pitched the bulk of the innings for Dean, going 3.2 innings and allowing three hits and one run while punching out two. Dean will now host Norwich University in a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at noon.
