FRANKLIN-- The Dean Women’s Basketball team suffered a 68-29 loss to the University of Saint Joseph’s CT last night. USJ Women’s basketball jumped out to an early lead at Pieri Gymnasium Tuesday night and never looked back. After the first quarter, they led 21-4 before stretching the lead to thirty-one to go into the second half ahead 43-12.
Jordan Oulette had fourteen points for USJ on a perfect 7-7 shooting from the floor. The Blue Jays also had two others in double figures, Janai Oliver had twelve points, and Khalise Harris contributed ten points off the bench. As a team, USJ shot 55.4% from the field.
Tori Viau led Dean with eleven points, as she made two three-pointers. Cat Thomas added six points, and Maranda Cournoyer scored five. Dean had twenty-three turnovers in the contest, which resulted in twenty-seven points for the Blue Jays, and that will be something they need to clean up before their next game.
