The Bulldogs men’s volleyball team won their first match of the season against Fisher College Wednesday night, 3 sets to 1. Dean goes to 1-2 on the season as Fisher drops to 0-3.
During the first-set, the Bulldogs played their most dominant, winning 25-13. Freshman, Hunter Armitage contributed to the early scoring, and it continued with junior, Aaron Fonseca. In the second-set, the Bulldogs were able to comeback from a 19-11 deficit but still fell short, 25-23. In the final two sets, sophomore, Nunu Jackson turned it on in the serving department and tallied 9 kills on the night. Senior, Tyler Martins lead the bulldogs in kills with 13, and in digs with 15; he also tallied 3 aces, which was tied for second on the night with freshman, Hunter Armitage. The Bulldogs won the third stage 25-13 and wrapped up the final stage 25-18, once holding a 6-1 lead and not looking back.
The men’s volleyball team will be in action once again with a back-to-back Saturday in the Peri Gym; facing Northern Vermont University at 11:00 AM and King’s College at 3:00 PM.
