On November 3rd, 2023, popular battle-royale video game Fortnite released a new season that shocked the world: the OG season. This season brought back all the weapons and items from Chapter 1 to bank in on the game’s nostalgic elements, which brought back a ton of hype and familiar faces.
Each week, Fortnite is adding back items from each season during Chapter 1, with developer Epic Games stating that each added item will remain available until the end of the OG season. So far, the loot pool from Chapter 1, Season 7 & 8 was recently included, and the items from Chapter 1, Season 9 and X will be implemented on November 23rd.
With Fortnite temporarily going back to its old roots, several famous content creators have made a grand return to the game. One of the most notable examples includes the return of former-Fortnite streamer Ninja, who is currently amassing thousands of viewers on Twitch through playing the OG season. He is one of many popular influencers that are bringing a lot of eyes back to the classic battle royale game.
Some of notable vehicles and weapons that were added recently include the Pirate Cannon, X-4 Storm Wing, Buried Treasure, Poison Dart Trap, the Minigun, Quad Launcher, and the Flint-Knock Pistol. Several more items will be added in the coming weeks.
The in-game countdown indicates that Saturday, December 2nd is when Fortnite OG will conclude on December 2nd, so feel free to try it out for yourself! Fortnite is available on PC through the Epic Games launcher, as well as the X-Box, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
