Across the world, people are starting their days off by drinking a cup of coffee. According to disturbmenot.co, “Americans drink about 400 million cups of coffee a day.” This leads to 146 billion cups of coffee being consumed per year. So why not start off this National Coffee Day by learning the history of one of many people’s favorite coffee places, Dunkin Donuts.
Founded in 1948, William Rosenburg opened “Open Kettle”, a donut and coffee restaurant in Quincy, Massachusetts. At the time, donuts were only five cents and premium cups of coffee were ten cents. Shortly after, in 1950, William Rosenburg renamed the restaurant “Dunkin Donuts.” Rosenburg’s goal that still lives to this day is to “make and serve the freshest, most delicious coffee and donuts quickly and courteously in modern, well-merchandised stores.” , according to dunkindonuts.com

This app also allows you to view their latest offers and discounts that are going on when you have the mobile app. In 2016, On-the-Go ordering was introduced, which allows DD perk members to order 24 hours in advance, choose the nearest store and pick up their order right away.
