FRANKLIN-- Anna Maria defeated the Dean College Bulldogs 83-32 on Thursday Night at Pieri Gymnasium. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday night but was pushed back a night due to weather. The extra day of rest benefited the AMCATS as they jumped out to an early 24-7 lead following the first quarter. As a team, the AMCATS shot just under fifty percent with seven made threes in the contest and had twenty-seven assists on thirty-five baskets.
Gina Parmenter scored sixteen points and had nine assists for Anna Maria. Chloe Giordano led the team with eighteen points, making four three-pointers. All ten players for the AMCATS scored in the game.
For the Bulldogs, Cat Thomas scored ten points with a game-high twelve rebounds, and Amani Pressley chipped in with seven points. Dean will be back in action Saturday, hosting the Lasell Lasers at 1:00.
