The Massachusetts Pirates will take on the Vegas Knight Hawks on Sunday May 1st at DCU Center in Worcester, MA. This is an essential matchup for the defending champion Pirates in their quest to steal the top spot in the Eastern Conference before heading into the Indoor Football League Playoffs. The Pirates are currently sitting at 4-1 while the Frisco Fighters are sitting at 5-1 at the top of the Eastern Conference.
The Pirates are coming off a great team win vs the Iowa Barnstormers. Quarterback Mike Glass III had himself a day this past weekend. He threw four touchdowns and rushed for another touchdown. He capped off his performance with a spectacular highlight reel touchdown pass in which he eluded three defenders and flicked a touchdown to Wide Receiver Darren Carrington II. Thomas “T.O.” Owens also had another great performance with 2 touchdown grabs. He now has 10 touchdowns in 5 games. He is having quite the impressive season so far.
The Vegas Knight Hawks are a new expansion team in their first season as a franchise. The Knight Hawks are owned by Bill Foley, who also owns the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights. The Vegas Knight Hawks are 2-4 and have been struggling to get going this season. They even lost 20-67 when facing the 5-0 Arizona Rattlers. This should be a routine win for the Massachusetts Pirates and has the potential for even more highlight reel plays for the team. However, it still is important for the Pirates to take the Knight Hawks seriously. This is still a professional football game, and every team needs to show up to get the job done, even if that team is heavily favored to win the game.
This is extraordinarily well written. The Night Hawks may be an expansion franchise in their first season, but how do you lose 67-20 In football? Poverty franchise.
