Men's Lacrosse Approaching Midseason

The Dean College Men's Lacrosse team has had a hot start to the 2022 season. Coming off a convincing 17-3 win over Albertus Magnus, the boys improve to 5-1 and pick up their second conference win.


The Bulldogs are 3-0 out of conference and 2-1 in the GNAC. The first conference win came in Standish, Maine, for a challenging showery 10-7 over Saint Joe's, Maine. Dominating the face-off X was the key to triumph for Dean.


The toughest matchup of the year came briefly after against Lasell University. The Bulldogs fell short 15-8 to the returning GNAC champions. The score at halftime was 7-5 in favor of the Lasers. However, third-quarter penalties destroyed the Bulldogs as Lasell notched seven goals in that quarter alone.


Needing a statement win after a tough loss, Albertus Magnus took the trip to Franklin, MA. The Bulldogs came ready to play as they jumped to an early 5-0 lead to end the first. Closing the half at 8-1, Dean fired nine more goals on all cylinders. The final score was 17-3.


Dean College's next matchup is Wednesday, March 30 at 3:30 pm on Grant Field. This will be the second of three straight home games for the Bulldogs. Johnston and Wales University is coming in at 5-3 (2-0 conference record.)


There is an excellent environment surrounding the guys. Team chemistry is at a high, as well as communication. The Bulldogs are looking solid and are ready to move onto the second half of the year.
