Saturday afternoon, the Bulldogs kicked off their 2023 season on the road at Northern Vermont University to face the Northern Vermont University Badgers in the first game and Colby Sawyer in the next. Dean fell to both colleges, starting 0-2 on the year.

In the first matchup against Colby sawyer, Dean was rolling early on. Hunter Armitage contributed to the early momentum, assisting many of the kills his teammates were producing on the Chargers. Dean's strong efforts led to a 25-14 first-set victory.

As the game progressed, in a back-and-forth battle the rest of the way, Dean was unable to maintain the 2-1 advantage they had once possessed, dropping the final back-to-back sets in the loss.

After a lengthy and well-contested first game, the Bulldog's late struggles previously, carried into the next game. Dean was unsuccessful in winning a set as the Badgers swept the Bulldogs 3-0.

Dean Men’s volleyball will be back at it Wednesday at 7:00 at home against Fisher College in hopes of earning their first victory on the season.
