FRANKLIN, Massachusetts- The Dean Bulldogs’ field hockey team celebrate their four seniors on Saturday against the Rivier Raiders. At the end of the day the Raiders picked up the 4-0 victory making their record 6-7 and the Bulldogs fall to 0-13.
The first quarter was all defensive battle. Both defenses would not budge until Rivier junior Kayla Miles knocked in a goal with 13 seconds left in the quarter. In the second quarter, Rivier kept the pressure going by putting on two more goals scored by sophomore Jacklyn O’Connor and junior Madison Bovill. In the second half the Bulldogs fought back defensively by not allowing a goal in the third quarter. However, the Bulldogs couldn’t get anything going offensively. Rivier put the game on wrap thanks to a goal scored by senior Grace Pierce. The Bulldogs’ next game is at home against The University of Saint Jospeh on Wednesday at 3:30.
