FRANKLIN-- The Dean College Field Hockey team lost to Anna Maria 4-0 on a wet Saturday afternoon at Grant Field. Dean was outshot in the matchup fourteen to three. Anna Maria had four players score goals in the win. The scorers were Nicole Lacoste, Eden Forget, Meghan Sonia, and August Otto.

Dean goalie Mackenzie Fillion was tested a lot, as Anna Maria had eleven shots on goal, and she was able to deny seven of them.

Dean had just three shot attempts in the loss, two coming off the stick of Tristyn Williams and one from Sydnee Ramos. After the game, head coach Megan Baker spoke on the team's offensive struggles and said, “We have a few really crucial players out for injury at the moment, so moving our system around was tough. We had some great opportunities to get on the board, but connecting passes offensively just wasn’t there.”

Baker added, “Things will connect, and we have a long week of practice before our next game on Saturday, and our injured teammates should be back. Things will connect, it will just take time and effort from my squad.”

That game on Saturday that she alluded to will be another GNAC matchup, this time at Rivier University in New Hampshire on September 30th at 11 a.m. as the Bulldogs hope to replicate their success from their win against Elms on September 18th.
