If you find yourself having no idea what to do, here are some events coming up and going around campus! Welcome to this week’s edition of Dean’s upcoming events! Apologies for the late issue, there were some technical difficulties that had to be dealt with. Now that everything’s back on track, we will be covering all events from Tuesday February 6th to Sunday February 11th.
Sports News!
Every issue will begin with what sports are happening and who Dean’s going up against. On Wednesday the men and women’s basketball teams will go up against Mitchell at Yarnall center. The women’s game starts at 5pm and ends at 7pm, and the men’s game goes from 7pm to 9pm. Their next games are happening on home turf, both teams going up against Rivier. The women’s team plays at 1pm to 3pm and the men’s team plays from 3pm to 5pm.
They aren’t the only ones playing this week! The men’s volleyball team has a home game against King’s college from 6pm to 8pm. Good luck to all teams playing this week, GO BULLDOGS!
Study Labs are back!
The library is officially opening study hours on the second floor from 7pm-9pm starting February 5th Mondays – Thursdays. Drop by if you want a quiet work spot to do homework, projects, or other work!
Study Away Program Office Hours!
The Dean College study away program is hosting office hours from 2pm to 3pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Drop by room 203 in Dean Hall if you’re interested or have some questions.
RSA Weekly Meeting!
The Resident’s Service Association is holding their weekly meeting on Tuesday in the Golder room from 7-8pm. Stop by if you get the chance!
Where do you want to work?
From 11am-1pm on Wednesday, Dean College is hosting a recruitment fair! Many employers representing all different kinds of companies will be there, looking for students to sign onto their team. Make sure to bring copies of your Resume and enough pocket space for fliers and business cards.
Girl Scout Cookies!
A local girl scout troop will be dropping by Dean to sell their delectable girl scout cookies! From Thin Mints to Shortbreads, they’ll be selling them from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday in the student center.
Mini Golf Night!
Starting at 5pm on Wednesday, a mini golf course will be set up in the student center! Play by yourself, with friends, or join a group and make new ones while putting across the floor.
Thursdays@Boomer’s!
Thursday the 15th marks 100 days before commencement, and the Junior Jamboree is back! The event will run from 7pm to 11pm, make sure to have an official ID with you if you want to consume alcohol. Drink safely, but make sure to have fun!
Superbowl LVIII Watch Party!
Superbowl Sunday has arrived, and Boomers is open for a watch party! Enjoy food and drinks while watching the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs go head-to-head! Good luck to both teams, but as a Raven’s fan I could honestly care less who wins.
