This year's WrestleMania build has been… disappointing? Compared to the last couple of years, it hasn’t really lived up to the hype. Regardless, I am excited for the event, and I think the matches will deliver in the two night event. I will do my predictions, feel free to leave comments and reach out if you disagree. Please note this is my opinion, so if we disagree, that's ok.
Night 1 Card
United States Championship LA Knight vs. Jacob Fatu
You could make the case either way. If you put it on Jacob Fatu, this could be the next step toward main event stardom, and for Knight, he has been a great US Champion—way better than Shinsuke Nakamura (the previous holder). I am going with Knight winning. Solo costs Fatu the match, setting up for Backlash.
Winner and still the US Champ: LA Knight. Yeah!
World Tag Team Championship The War Raiders vs. The New Day
This is a Raw match. I’m sorry, no disrespect to The New Day, but they have cooled off since the Big E heel turn. A win for them is needed. That’s why I am going for The New Day. The War Raiders, they haven’t really done much with the belts since December, so I am going with The New Day.
Prediction: The New Day wins the World Tag Team Championship
Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano
Fun fact: this is Chad Gable’s first singles match. Instead, he has a different name, a new gimmick—great! Chad Gable has disrespected Lucha Libre, which got under the skin of Rey Mysterio, who was feuding with American Made. I want to say Mysterio wins just so we can end this feud between LWO and American Made. However, I got El Grande Americano—probably my bold prediction. This will then set up a match between them at Backlash.
Prediction: El Grande Americano
Jade Cargill vs. Naomi
Naomi’s sneak attack on Cargill put her out of action for months, only for Cargill to come back and cost Naomi at the Elimination Chamber. This is the first non-title one-on-one match between two women since 2006. I think Naomi needs this win more to establish herself as a heel. This will be the biggest match of Cargill’s WWE career.
Prediction: Naomi
WWE Women’s Championship
Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair
Could go either way. Can’t count out Charlotte, that’s for sure. Charlotte won the Royal Rumble, picking Tiffany Stratton at Mania for her title match. This feud has been just not good at all. The promo battles have been flat. However, I do believe the match will make up for that. This one is hard. I am going to say Tiffany wins—it will be a huge win for her, but I don’t think it will be clean. I think they will continue to feud going into Backlash.
Prediction: Tiffany Stratton retains
World Heavyweight Championship Gunther vs. Jey Uso
Probably the most predictable match on the card. Jey Uso has to and will win. You can say whatever you want about Jey, however, you cannot deny his level of popularity, which was part of the reason for him winning the Rumble back in January. This has been a good build, and I think Jey will be champion—and oh yeah, YEET.
Prediction: Uso wins the title to become new World Heavyweight Champion

Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns
AKA the custody of Paul Heyman match! All seriousness, my one issue is that it’s just a regular triple threat? Nothing implementing Night Two’s match—just a regular match. Punk main-eventing his first Mania is really cool, and it will be his first Mania match since 2013 at WrestleMania 29 against Undertaker. As for Roman, I think Heyman will cost Punk and Roman somehow, with Rollins taking advantage for the win.
Prediction: Rollins wins
Night Two Card
Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre (Sin City Street Fight)
Poor Damian Priest. That summer of ’24, he was over—like huge. I remember going to SummerSlam and him getting a great reaction from the crowd, but since then, he’s just… there? Priest cost McIntyre not only the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber—he also, don’t forget, cashed in his briefcase on him at last year’s Mania to win the World Title. McIntyre wins—this will then hopefully put him in the main event picture.
Prediction: McIntyre
WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria
The heels retain. Kind of weird that Valkyria, who is the current Women’s Intercontinental Champion, just defeated Bayley on Raw—and now they’re partners? Also, poor Liv Morgan, who was the World Champion for a good part of 2024, now in a tag match? I think Liv and Raquel will remain. This will then set up a feud with Valkyria and Bayley—probably Bayley going heel.
Prediction: Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez retain
WWE Women’s World Championship
Iyo Sky vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair
Belair won the Elimination Chamber, but Ripley got screwed out of the title match thanks to screwy finishes. I feel like Iyo has been in the background—yet she is the champion? I think that is by design. Don’t get me wrong, she is one of the best current women’s wrestlers they have on the roster, but this feud has not helped her at all. Belair is unbeaten at Mania. I just think if Belair wins, she will jump to Raw, which I don’t think will happen. Iyo retains in a great match, and we will see what happens post-Mania.
Prediction: Iyo retains
Logan Paul vs. AJ Styles
I think this match will be the show-stealer. For all of the hate that Logan Paul gets, he is very talented in the ring and can go toe to toe with anyone. While Styles is getting up there in age, we have seen time and time again he can put on great matches—I think back to last summer in his feud with Cody Rhodes.
I am going with Styles. It’s been years since Styles last won a singles PLE.
Winner: AJ Styles
Intercontinental Championship
Bron Breakker vs. Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Penta
Bron Breakker has been a dominant champion. Penta—breakout star and a fan favorite already in the company within the first four months of him being there. Then we have The Judgment Day planting seeds with Balor and Mysterio splitting possibly. I think Breakker retains—no need to take the title from him just yet. I do think that post-match, Judgment Day splits and Mysterio takes over.
Prediction: Breakker retains

WWE Championship
Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena
John Cena won the Elimination Chamber. Post-match, he then sells his soul to The Rock, turning on Cody Rhodes after the match with a vicious beatdown. After that… it’s a feud?
Cody Rhodes—this man has had to carry this feud because John Cena has only made three appearances since February. There has been zero mention of The Rock—maybe once—and I wanted more. Rhodes has been cutting great promos, and their back-and-forths are great. However, Rhodes has had to carry much of the build because he is the one that makes more appearances.
If Rhodes wins, I’m fine with it—you can set up a match with him and Orton at Backlash in Randy Orton’s hometown of St. Louis, and probably face off against Drew McIntyre, which would be a great match too.
If Cena wins… yay? I love Cena—he is my childhood hero—but he needs to make more appearances. This would also continue the heel turn. I don’t think it’s one and done.
I am going with Cena winning Championship No. 17. The Rock comes out—it will be a screwy finish—and we close the show with John Cena, The Rock, and Travis Scott to end Mania.
Prediction: John Cena wins No. 17
With that if you made it this far to the article thank you! I think this year's show will be great, there might be some matches added like Randy Orton, who is not on the card as of yet. If for whatever reasons matches are added, I will update this article.
