COVID-19 Protocols in Place for 2021-22

The 2021-22 school year at Dean College is just upon us. The fight against the COVID-19 pandemic has made progress but is not complete yet. The rise in Delta variant cases across the country and around the world has increased hospitalizations, mostly among the unvaccinated people of this country.

Dean College is taking action to keep its students and faculty safe. Many of the protocols from last semester will remain in place for this year, which include the following:

*Upon arrival, all residential and commuter students must take a PCR COVID-19 test.

*Vaccinated students, faculty and staff must be tested for COVID-19 once a week, while the unvaccinated must test twice a week.

*Regardless of vaccination status, everyone must wear a mask unless eating in the Smith Dining Center, or in the student’s individual residence hall room, unless they have a have an approved exemption.

*Students must once more display their CoVerified green status to their professor while always wearing a face mask and never eating or drinking in the classroom

*Students are allowed to visit each other’s residence halls during the Fall 2021 Semester, but no outside guests are allowed inside residence halls
