Black History Month takes place every February to honor Black history in the United States. At Dean College, Black history is honored and respected with education about African American leaders, revolutionaries, and events featuring Dean students.

Dean College will host its 6th annual Black Excellence Showcase in the Guidrey Center on February 18th at 7:00 PM. This showcase will celebrate Black excellence at Dean College with different forms of art and performances.

The Black Student Union and MyBlackSpeaks, two of Dean College’s student-run organizations, will host this year’s showcase. Both organizations promote Black creativity, excellence, and leadership by giving a platform for those who wish to express themselves to the fullest.

Those who wish to attend can purchase tickets at either the box office or online at dean.edu. To learn more about ongoing events at Dean College, visit today.dean.edu for more information. For more information about BSU and MyBlackSpeaks, visit their social media sites on Instagram.
