He referred to graduate school by saying, “it was one of the better decisions I've made so far guiding my career.”
The sports industry is continuously growing, Dr. Leary mentioned that his most fascinating takeaway from the growth is the technology and data analytics aspect. Dr. Leary stated, “I think there's a lot of growth opportunity in using technology in the areas of marketing and sponsorship, as well as the application of data analytics, to drive decision-making.”
When asked about his first year teaching at Dean College and his adjustment to the community, Dr. Leary said, “it wasn't until I started to meet some of the people on campus and have conversations, I realize how wonderful and special a place that it is.
This is Dr. Leary's thirteenth-year teaching and twelfth regarding sports. Dr. Leary's fondest memories have come from understanding and getting to know the students. He also enjoys the colleagues he has worked with so far.
