This Friday, Native American storyteller and dancer Larry Yazzie will visit Dean College. Students, faculty, and staff can learn more about Native American history through Yazzie’s art.
Yazzie originally comes from the Mieswaki settlement in Tama, Iowa. Through unique dance moves and a creative mind, Yazzie has been able to educate college students around the country about Native American history.
From the age of seven, Yazzie has become an accomplished performer, dancer, actor, and singer founding Native Pride Productions, Inc. in Minnesota in 2003.
The event will take place this Friday on November 12th. The event will be held in the Campus Center Atrium from 8:30-10:00.
