This time of year, it is foreseeable that there will be common colds and alternative illnesses to recover from. Germs are still around even with the masks off. It is vital to be aware and take precautions to be as happy and healthy as possible.

Dean College has various resources to maintain optimal well-being. Getting tested once a week is not only a requirement but a surefire way to keep track of your health. The health center on campus is another option to locate if at some point you are feeling unwell. Hand sanitizer stations are dispersed around the buildings as well to keep germs away. Posters in dorms have tips and healthy reminders.

There are certain things an individual can do to decrease the likelihood on catching a cold or covid. Limit face touching as that is a magnet for unwanted nemesis. Covering your hands or grabbing a towel for handles is another method. If unsure, staying in is the best bet to lessen the risk of getting others sick and to get you better.

Taking care of yourself is important, especially in today’s climate. Have the relief of the loosened mask requirements but be cautious and do what you feel is the right move for you. All in all, sometimes no matter how often we try to stay healthy there are uncontrollable circumstances, and we just must deal with what comes our way. The tips above are key factors in reducing vulnerability to illnesses.
